A FORWARD-LOOKING PERSPECTIVE - A DARING VISION
The very first edition of the Global Adventist Internet Network (GAiN) for the African continent scheduled December 6 to 10, 2023 is going on in Johannesburg, South Africa. More than 400 participants from across Africa are attending this important gathering of technological innovation for mission.
The focus was on generative artificial intelligence in the service of Mission. Projects aimed at using artificial intelligence to proclaim the truth were presented.
Experts in the field came from Google in the USA and other research institutions. The General Conference Communications team, led by Elder Williams Costa, also made the trip to the rainbow country. Emphasis was placed on translating content into different languages on all our platforms.

The West Central Africa Division (WAD) was represented by 65 participants from Ghana (43), Togo (3), Senegal (1), Cameroon (6) and WAD office in Côte d'Ivoire (12).
The event ends on Sunday, December 10, 2023, just after the trip to the gold mines and then to Soweto.
The next releases on African soil will be linguistic: GAiN French and GAiN Portuguese. Details on locations and dates will be announced at a later date.
