CAMEROUN : AY: Congress Session

The West-Central Cameroon Union Mission is buzzing with youth conventions. Taking advantage of the school holidays, young people from the South-Central and West Cameroon Conferences gathered from July 27 to August 3, 2025—at Ebolowa (South Region) for the former and at Manjo (Littoral Region) for the latter—for their respective conventions. The chosen themes were: “Impacting Your Community for Christ” for the youth of the South-Central area, while the youth of West Cameroon focused their reflections on “In His Presence, I Will Go—David.”

Among the activities that filled these two gatherings of Adventist youth in Ebolowa and Manjo were the incorporation of Pathfinders to the rank of Master Guide, while others were promoted to Senior Youth Leader (SYL). Also noteworthy were socio-cultural and sports activities, as well as a lively parade attended by Koré Guidadak, representing the Governor of the South Region. In Manjo, the Sub-Prefect of the locality thoroughly enjoyed being in the company of the Adventist Youth.
Aside from evangelistic activities, various skills training sessions occupied the youths’ time. These included: making whole wheat bread, soap, vinegar, soy-based meat, pastries, fabric dyeing, event decoration, and graphic design. Community service and training were also part of the program. Reflecting on the lessons from this convention, Youth Ministries Director Romain Bekilé emphasized: “What is done with God is done in the best possible way, for God is a God of order.”
