The Djoungolo 2 Adventist Church in the city of Yaoundé hosted, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, a farewell service for the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the West-Central Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists (WAD), Pastor Dr. Vincent Roger Samé.

The event drew a large crowd and witnessed the presence of Pastor Jean Marie Tchoualeu, former president of the Central African Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, and Pastor Jean Emmanuel Nlo Nlo, former Communication Director at both the Africa-Indian Ocean Division and the WAD and Elder Abraham Bakari, who currently holds this position.
From the three speeches that marked this ceremony, it emerged that Pastor Vincent Roger Samé, who until now served as president of the Cameroon Union Mission, is recognized as a consensus-building leader. According to Mélanie Fezeu, Women’s Ministries Director of the Central West Cameroon Union Mission, “He is a leader who cannot be bought and who does not compromise.” This quality has earned him the unwavering support of the presidents of the four Conferences that make up this Union—an endorsement voiced by Pastor Etienne Kamga of the West Cameroon Conference.

The audience was inspired to learn that the day’s honoree leaves behind a major project: the construction of a six-story building intended to serve as the headquarters of the Central West Cameroon Union Mission.
In a heartfelt message drawn from Deuteronomy 6:4, Pastor Vincent Roger Samé urged God’s people to learn to listen to their Creator, to love Him, and to obey Him.
