Sangmelima, Cameroon: Official Visit of Adventist Administrators to Local Authorities

The administrators of the Federation of Seventh-day Adventist Churches of Central and Southern Cameroon, a regional structure of the Église adventiste du septième jour, carried out an official introductory visit to the authorities of Sangmelima on Monday, February 16, 2026.
This initiative is part of efforts to strengthen institutional relationships and promote collaboration between the Church and local administrative and judicial authorities.
The delegation was led by Pastor BELINGA OBATE Étienne, President of the Federation. It also included the Executive Secretary, Pastor AYI MVONDO Joseph, the Treasurer, Pastor HAMED Souleymane, and the Director of Communication and Public Relations, MBAKOM Ibrahim.
The church leaders were successively received by:

  • The Sub-Divisional Officer of Sangmelima, Mr. OBAMA Daniel Arthur

  • The President of the Court of First Instance of Sangmelima, Mr. Aurélien Innocent NJOH

  • The Central Police Commissioner of Sangmelima, Mr. ASSE EDIRI Pierre Rostand

During the meetings, prayers were offered in each office for peace, stability, and national security, reflecting the Church’s spiritual commitment to the nation’s well-being.
The local authorities, for their part, reaffirmed their willingness to collaborate with, support, and assist the Church in implementing its projects and fulfilling its civic responsibilities.

This visit marks an important step in strengthening Church–State relations in Sangmelima, fostering mutual respect and constructive cooperation.
