Nigeria || ENUC - Stewardship Summit ends with focus faithfulness, and resource management.

More than 90 delegates, including field leaders and stewardship personnel from across the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC), gathered for the 2026 Stewardship Summit held from May 26 to 31 with the theme, "Putting God First: I Will Be Grounded in the Bible and Focus on the Mission."
Opening the summit, ENUC President Pastor Onyebuchi Opara welcomed everyone and spoke about why it is important to be faithful with what God has given us as we work to support the mission of the Church. He encouraged participants to remain committed to their service and to manage church resources responsibly.
The main speaker, Pastor Dr. B. O. Yeboah, gave several talks explaining what Christian stewardship means. He spoke about managing time, talents, money, health, influence, and keeping the Sabbath. He also encouraged them to be intentional in how they live.

“Stewardship is about every part of life, not just finances. When God is first in your time, your talents, and your decisions, every other thing falls into divine order. "Stewardship is not only about what we give but about how faithfully we live for God in every assignment entrusted to us.
“A steward is not an owner but a manager of divine resources. Faithfulness is the proof of understanding that truth, he avers.
Throughout the week-long summit, there were prayer sessions, group discussions, workshops, and presentations aimed at helping participants better understand stewardship and how to apply it in their daily lives and church work.
One of the facilitators, Justice Teddy Eruba, spoke about trust services and planned giving. He explained the importance of planning ahead, especially in managing resources and leaving a good legacy that will support the Church in the future.
The Stewardship Director, Pastor Chibueze Alpheus, said he was happy with how the programme went and the level of participation from delegates. He added that when delegates return to their different fields, they are expected to put what they have learned into practice, helping to improve mission work and financial responsibility.
"This summit has been very impactful. We are confident that the resolutions emerging from here will strengthen stewardship across all our fields. As delegates return to their fields, we expect a renewed commitment to stewardship that will drive mission advancement and financial integrity.” He opines.
